Our governance principle
Influence in Ignis governance is earned by understanding, not bought with tokens. How much $U1 or how many Elite NFTs a wallet holds does not decide its say. Demonstrated knowledge of the ecosystem and active participation in it do. This is our stated principle; the protocol that enforces it is in design and will be published when it is final. There is no live $U1 or Elite holder governance today.
States and networks are formed by sovereign individuals choosing to work together. We build for that: no one rules, and people lead by the objective value they bring. A platform that lets its decisions be bought, or made by people who do not understand the systems they are deciding on, is not sovereign. We build to prevent both.

Mechanisms we are exploring
Each item below is a concept under design or a posture already in effect. None of the in-design entries commits to a specific formula or deadline. The spec ships when it is final.
- In design
Proof of knowledge
Standing is earned by showing an objective understanding of how the ecosystem works: its contracts, its risks, its rules. How that knowledge is shown and checked is in design.
- In design
Active participation
Standing belongs to people who stay informed and take part, not to wallets that sit idle. How participation is measured is in design.

Triple OG Council
Per the Umbrae Token Verification Pipeline, human evaluation of new token listings is performed by the Triple OG Council (a group of vetted Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 NFT holders), as every member of the community is vetted. Their role is project gatekeeping inside the Umbrae verification system, not protocol-wide vote-trading.

Multi-sig treasury
The Ignis treasury is multi-signature. Material treasury actions require co-authorization; no single key controls platform funds.
